Maregesi Ben Manyama - Managing Director

Maregesi is a veteran of the Petroleum industry with vast experience spanning over 17 years in various SADC countries. He is a former CEO of Puma Energy (Tanzania) and Puma Energy(Namibia) Ltd as well as BP Namibia Pty Ltd where he managed the transition from BP in both countries. He was a board member of BP Namibia as well as Puma Energy Tanzania. In addition, he served as a board member of the Petroleum Importation Coordinator Ltd (PICL); a company that manages importation of bulk fuels in Tanzania.
Maregesi started his career in the shipping industry where he served in various senior capacities in East Africa and abroad. In his last role in the marine sector, Maregesi was employed as a senior marine pilot for Tanzania Harbours Authority (now Tanzania Ports Authority). He thereafter joined BP Tanzania where he held various senior positions. He was later transferred to BP Southern Africa based in Cape Town where he held diverse senior positions. He moved back to Tanzania after 5 years to become National Sales Manager and thereafter CEO.
Before venturing into private business Mbatia has had diverse multi-country roles up to CFO level for: ASSA ABLOY, Kenya Airways, Coca-Cola Africa and Best Foods (Unilever) among others. In the course of his career, Mbatia also honed his business management skills from Senior Management Development Programs in the USA, Europe, China and Singapore.
Based in East and South Africa, Mbatia has over 20 years of senior level multi-country experience in large Corporations. He has extensive knowledge in the development and execution of commercial strategies, restructuring, business development, acquisitions, start-ups, all facets of financial management, supply chain management, systems implementations, turnaround management, lean manufacturing, organizational and cultural transformation.
Warui is currently the CEO and Technical Director of Mather + Platt Tanzania. He previously worked for British American Tobacco for fifteen years in various engineering, production, marketing and general management roles in East Africa, Europe and the former Soviet Republics. He did his graduate Management Training with Mumias Sugar Company and Central Glass Industries in Kenya.
Warui has extensive experience in project engineering, with specific content for design, installation and maintenance of equipment and manufacturing systems. In addition he has varied experience in production engineering, systems’ design for factories, commercial premises and equipment safety surveys and has attended numerous management development programmes on business and finance. He is also ROSPA (UK) trained in employee and workplace safety.
